Rose of Sharon's Senior Villa is one of the few Assistant Living facilities that provide financial assistance.   We may be able to assist those who cannot afford the full payment.   We are happy to provide the following assistance to help those who may qualify:

Section 8 Voucher:   Rose of Sharon's Senior Villa are one of the few Assisted Living facilities that have Section 8 vouchers.   Section 8 vouchers are provided by Federal dollars through the Chattanooga Housing Authorities, www.openingdoors.org .   In order to qualify, your income must meet the qualifications, you must be elderly/disable, and you need assistance with at least 2 ADLs.    If you meet the qualifications, you can receive up to $275.00 in assistance toward your RENT only.

Quality Enabling Grant:   The Quality Enabling Grant, www.state.tn.us , is a grant through the State of Tennessee, which allow SSI recipients who have an income of $600.00 or less to receive $13.00 per day toward PERSONAL CARE only.   This grant has existed in other counties within the State of Tennessee except for Hamilton County.   The owner of Rose of Sharon's Senior Villa (Sharon Kelly) started a bill to get funds to assist our residents at Rose of Sharon's Senior Villa and the bill was passes and started June 2004.

Calculations: Amount of Check – Allowance + Section 8 Voucher (if you qualify) + Quality Enabling Grant (if qualify) = $1,200.00.   If this amount does not equal $1,200 you may talk with management.

Sharon's Adult Day Center has a contract through the OPTIONS program, www.sedev.org .   This will allow those who are clients of OPTIONS to receive adult day services, personal care service, and homemaker service.
