Sharon Kelly is the owner and operator of Sharon's Adult Day Center, Rose of Sharon's Senior Villa, and Sharon's Personal Care. Ms. Kelly retired from Parkridge HCA Hospital, where she worked as a Registered Nurse for over 23 years. During her tenure as a RN, she decided to obtain a degree in Healthcare Management. During a business course she was asked to write a business plan. Ms. Kelly wrote her business plan for an Adult Day Center. She then took her business plan and fulfilled her vision. She has been in operation since August 1997.
Her 1st business was an Adult Day Center where she started in a house on East 14 th Street. She out grew the house on East 14 th Street and relocated her center to a building on Raulston Street in June 2000.
She then opened Rose of Sharon's Senior Villa in May 2001. Ms. Kelly is a pioneer of working in the area of eldercare. She is the President of Tennessee Adult Day Services, www.TAADS.org, and has sat on numerous boards including the board for the Southeast Alzheimer Association.
Ms. Kelly has received numerous awards for being a woman of endurance and character. She is a true success story of her time. |
